Novermber Magic

As everyone in our area already knows, we woke to a rare November snow this morning.
It was warm, Fritz and I both needed a walk, so off we went.

One of the benefits of a fur coat is its insulating properties. The snow that fell on Fritz didn't melt, even as short as his fur is, and in spite of the fact that he doesn't have the undercoat that many breeds have.

I was overdressed, but I don't have a lighter coat with a hood. My hands were fine without gloves.
But the wet snow sticks impressively.

The snow has continued, sometimes heavily, but mostly lightly throughout the day.
This is that same spot just before dusk.

And some other parts of the yard.

The ground is still warm, so the driveway is all mud and no ice.

Dog and person footprints coming back from the mailbox.
